SCHEDULE & DETAILS9AM – 10:50AM
Upasana Yoga Class
Taught by Vaidya Savitri Devi
The esoteric Upasana Vinyasa is one of the most powerfully balanced, authentically Vedic based, and meditation oriented forms of Yoga available today. It has also been one of the most secretive Vedic rooted schools of Yoga to be revealed in the West. This very unique Yoga eventually leads its practitioner into a samadhi-like state in which every aspect of the person (body, breath, emotions, mind, psychic body [sushma-sharira], intellect, will and consciousness) is perfectly harmonized and at one in a way that is rarely experienced by most modern Yoga practitioners. It is a moving meditation, in which a deeply peaceful and awakened meditative state is experienced from beginning to end. If you are either a beginner, or have been a Yoga teacher for the last 30 years, you do not want to miss this powerful experience.
11:00AM – 12 Noon
The Hidden Yoga of the Upanishads
A Keynote Discourse By
Sri Dharma Pravartaka Acharya
"Sri Acharyaji is the most unique and ground-breaking Vedic teacher in America today. No one can compare to him. He has accomplished things that no one else has in furthering the understanding of Sanatana Dharma. He is the first, and so far only, truly American Acharya." – Dr. David Frawley (February 8, 2015)
After 42 years of studying and practicing the path of Yoga spirituality, Sri Acharyaji is currently recognized as one of the most qualified and authentic teachers of Yoga philosophy in the world today. He only rarely teaches to the general public these days, making this is a rare opportunity to study in person with a recognized Master.
While many Yoga practitioners are aware of the textual roots of Yoga that are found in the Yoga Sutras and the Bhagavad Gita, few are aware of Yoga’s even deeper roots in the Upanishad literature. In this discourse, Sri Acharyaji will lead the attendees in an examination of the profound Yogic teachings of the Shandilya Upanishad, one of the most esoteric of the 108 Upanishads.
